The NPD in Motion article "Finding a Path Forward in Diversity and Inclusion" provided a high-level overview of the findings made by the ANPD Diversity Task Force first formed in 2017. One of the task force charges was to survey our members to better understand our community’s demographic makeup and member experiences.
The Diversity and Inclusion Member Survey was conducted in October of 2022 and yielded 467 responses. The Board of Directors approved Ryan MacDonald, PhD, to run statistical analysis on the survey questions to ensure accurate interpretation and analysis of the data. DEI questions were cross-tabulated with demographic variables and analyzed for statistical significance with chi-square tests. Results were presented to the Board of Directors at the 2023 Aspire Convention, and now we present them to our members and community through the video below.
Please join the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force Chair Leslie Wright-Brown, PhDc, MS, RN, NPD-BC, and me, Naomi Fox, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, CCRN, as we share the survey results and provide information on positive changes already made to weave DEI into every thread of the ANPD fabric.
