Unveiling Success: NPD in Motion's Inaugural Year and Beyond
January 08, 2024 — Stephanie Zidek, PhD, RN, AGCNS-BC, NEA-BC, NPD-BC
Dear Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Colleagues,
As we gear up to embark on another promising year within the NPD landscape, it's with great pleasure that we take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've traversed through 2023. This past year was a testament to resilience, innovation, and the unwavering dedication of NPD practitioners like yourselves as we celebrated the first full-year milestone of our content hub, NPD in Motion, which marked its inaugural year in September 2023.
In the spirit of inclusivity and diversity, NPD in Motion thrived on the many contributions from NPD practitioners across various roles, workplace settings, and geographical locations. Our content has been a tapestry woven with influential and timely topics, embracing discussions on AI, interprofessional collaboration, unique and hybrid NPD roles, health equity, transgender care, virtual reality, affiliate accolades, gamification strategies, NPD advocacy, Core Curriculum for NPD insights, and so much more!
Looking ahead to 2024, we are excited to announce a significant stride: the evolution of our ANPD Editorial Task Force into an ANPD Committee. This transition is poised to fortify our influence and amplify our outreach, setting the stage for an even more impactful year with rich NPD in Motion articles and engaging NPD Forecast podcasts.
Our commitment to you remains steadfast. We'll continue curating essential topics that resonate with our NPD audience, ensuring we address your evolving needs and interests. Your voice matters, and we encourage you to shine a spotlight on the remarkable work happening within your organizations. Submit your contributions via the NPD in Motion Article Submission Form for a chance to be published, and keep a look out for contributor needs that will be listed in the biweekly NPD in Motion email newsletter.
Reflecting on the past year's accomplishments fills us with immense pride, and we're invigorated by the opportunities awaiting us in 2024. Our collective dedication and enthusiasm will fuel our endeavors as we advance the frontiers of NPD.
Thank you for your unwavering support, passion, and commitment to nurturing the growth of our community and the enhancement of NPD practices. Your contributions have been nothing short of extraordinary. As we step into the new year, let's prioritize our well-being, knowing that a thriving specialty begins with nurturing ourselves.
Warmest Regards,
Stephanie Zidek, PhD, RN, AGCNS-BC, NEA-BC, NPD-BC
